The 35th Circle presents:
The Power of Authenticity
Polonius' last piece of advice to his son Laertes, "This above all: to thine own self be true", rings a very contemporary bell. But for all its popularity, it is often quoted and seldom followed. The corporate world in particular craves authenticity, while it does very little to encourage it. Why, in a world where "everyone else is already taken", as Oscar Wilde put it, do we find it so difficult to be ourselves? And how should we go about it, once we overcome this initial difficulty? This talk will attempt to address both of these questions.
